Bogor Regent Ade Yasin Admits He Was Forced To Take Responsibility For The Actions Of His Subordinates, KPK: Common And General Rebuttal
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that Bogor Regent Ade Yasin's rebuttal regarding his involvement in the alleged bribery in the management of financial reports was a common thing submitted by suspects in corruption cases.
Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, said that Ade Yasin, who is a suspect for giving bribes, also has the right to object. However, he ensured that the determination of the suspect, which began with a hand arrest operation (OTT), was in accordance with legal provisions.
"The suspect's rebuttal is a common thing and is generally conveyed. That is the right of the person concerned," said Ali in his written statement, Thursday, April 28.
Ali said the investigation into the alleged bribery that ensnared Ade already had strong evidence. Therefore, the KPK will continue to investigate these allegations.
"KPK in increasing the investigation process of alleged corruption in this case, of course, has already pocketed various strong and sufficient evidence according to legal provisions," he said.
He also asked the suspects and other parties to cooperate. The goal is that the bribery case in the management of financial statements that ensnared Ade can be clearly revealed.
"We hope that the suspects and parties who will be summoned by the KPK will cooperate in explaining what is happening in front of the investigative team," said Ali.
It was previously reported that Ade Yasin was named a suspect after he was caught in a hand arrest operation (OTT) which was held from Tuesday, April 26 to Wednesday, April 27.
Apart from Ade Yasin, the KPK has also appointed the Bogor Regency PUPR Secretary, Maulana Adam; Head of Sub-District Cash for BPKAD Bogor Regency, Ihsan Ayatullah; and PPK at the Bogor Regency PUPR Service, Rizki Taufik was named a suspect for giving.
While the recipients were four BPK employees representing West Java, Anthon Merdiansyah, Arko Mulawan, Hendra Nur Rahmatullah Karwita, and Gerri Ginanjar Trie Rahmatullah.
Ade gave the bribe because he wanted Bogor Regency to win the WTP title for the 2021 Fiscal Year from the BPK representative for West Java.
As a result of his actions, Ade Yasin was detained at the Polda Metro Jaya detention center. Meanwhile, the other suspects are being held in a number of different detention centers, such as the KPK Rutan in Lot C1, the KPK Rutan in the KPK Merah Putih building, and the KPK Detention Center at the Jaya Guntur Pomdam.
