Russian Diplomat Claims Ukraine's Denazification Will Be Completed, Says There Is A Secret Torture Center At Mariupol Airport

JAKARTA - Russian officials say one of the goals of the invasion of Ukraine to carry out denazification will be completed, mentioning the existence of a torture center built by Ukraine.

Senior adviser to Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Sergey Leonidchenko said the denazification of Ukraine would be completed and those responsible for crimes would be punished.

"Torture centers are completely unthinkable in the 21st century and there is plenty of evidence, a lot of eyewitness evidence, that the SBU (Ukrainian Security Agency) has set up a secret torture center at Mariupol airport, presumed to be a library," he said at a Formula One meeting. UN Security Council Arria, quoted from TASS 28 April.

"The center was founded in 2014, when the Azov nationalist battalion was stationed in Mariupol. The center was used to torture, rape and kill 'books', as civilians are suspected of being disloyal to Kyiv."

"I assure you that those responsible for these and other heinous crimes will be brought to justice. No one will escape punishment. The denazification of Ukraine will be completed," he stressed.

It is known, Russian President Vladimir Putin gave permission to carry out special military operations in Ukraine on February 24, to carry out demilitarization and denazification. What Ukraine and Western countries oppose is groundless.
