Selena Gomez's Reflections On The Life Of The Album Rare

JAKARTA - Today, Friday, January 10, singer Selena Gomez released her latest album entitled Rare. Four years after Revival, this album is said to be the point of Gomez's maturation for what he has been through so far. After the release of two singles at once in 2019, Lose You to Love Me and Look At Her Now, this full studio album is ready to be heard to fans.

Containing 13 tracks, Rare is Gomez's answer to what the media is talking about. A few days before the release, Gomez had leaked some of the lyrics via tweets on Twitter. Everything sounds romantic and relatable, because he admits that he will open his voice about what is happening in his life.

We all know Selena Gomez was the talk of the on-and-off boyfriend of Justin Bieber then The Weeknd. The broken relationship became a roller coaster for Gomez from being hated to being loved and vice versa. Rare's album is also a medium for Gomez to speak out about the depression he experienced and the kidney transplant he underwent due to his lupus disease.

This album is Gomez's honesty which is revealed politely. The main track Lose You to Love Me, which is the final sign of his farewell with Bieber, implies lyrics; "In two months you replaced us like it was easy," referring to Bieber who was dating Hailey Baldwin after breaking up with Gomez.

The love affair with The Weeknd (real name; Abel) is implied in the track Fun where he sings the stanza; “I'm a sensitive situation. You're a hot and cold combination. Oh, we both know we got comp. At that time, the two of them had relationship problems. The Weeknd with Bella Hadid and Gomez with Bieber.

Not alone, in the album Rare, this 27-year-old singer hooked the musician 6LACK for the song Crowded Room and Kid Cudi on both tracks. The joining of Kid Cudi resulted in A Sweeter Place becoming an r & b track with simple lyrics and far removed from the pop side of Selena Gomez. The three of them then sang A Sweeter Place as the ending of the album.

The Cut You Off track is Gomez's first song to receive an explicit sign (adult content). Although previously, he had sung the word 'shit' in the song Same Old Love, the song was not explicitly marked. This song still tells about love, although it does not imply who this song is intended for.

In terms of production, Gomez has been assisted by many well-known producers, namely Ian Kirkpatrick, MNEK, Jon Bellion, Sir Nolan, Jason Evigan, Mattman & Robin and Billie Eilish's older brother, FINNEAS. Gomez also helped write the lyrics for all the tracks on the album. In The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, this Dolittle film player revealed his difficulties in working on Rare.

“I experience big moments that happen in my personal life that make 'how do I capture that?' and 'how do I feel good about what I'm saying?' so I walked on .. And I was relieved. "

Rare's album does not completely occupy the best pop album like her herd, Taylor Swift or Ariana Grande. However, the singer with 165 million followers on Instagram has successfully released Rare as a remedy for musical longing as well as a pure work of his feelings.

The music video for the track Rare will be released on Saturday tomorrow via the YouTube channel Gomez, while the album will be available in physical and digital form starting today.
