Central Sulawesi Police Chief: I Still Hope Two MIT Poso DPOs Surrender
CITY PALU - Central Sulawesi Police Chief Inspector General Rudy Sufahriadi asked the remaining two Poso East Indonesia Mujahidin (MIT) Wanted Lists (DPO) to surrender immediately.
"I still hope that the two DPOs who have not been caught immediately turn themselves in," he said during a press conference at the Sausu Police, Parigi Moutong Regency, as reported by Antara, Thursday, April 28.
According to Rudy, the Madago Raya Operations Task Force (Satgas) provided the opportunity for two MIT Poso DPOs to properly surrender themselves to the Police and the TNI.
“This Operation Madago Kingdom will end when they surrender. If not, we will look for it and chase it until we get it,” he said. It is known that after the death of Suhardin alias Hasan Pranata, there are now two remaining DPO MIT Poso. They are Nae alias Galuh alias Muklas and Askar alias Pak Guru. The Madago Raya Operations Task Force estimates that the two are still wandering in the mountains of Poso, Parigi Moutong, and Sigi Regencies.
As previously reported, the Madago Raya Operations Task Force shot dead the East Indonesia Mujahidin Terrorist (MIT) Wanted List (DPO) in Poso, Central Sulawesi, Wednesday, April 27.
The gunfight took place in the hamlet of Sa Lubanga, Sausu District, Parigi Moutong Regency. From this incident, it was reported that one of the DPOs suspected of being Askar alias Pak Guru was shot dead, but it turned out that the one who died was Suhardin alias Hasan Pranata based on the autopsy results of the Central Sulawesi Police Inafis Team.
