KPK Warning To Ministries To Institutions, Don't Justify Any Way To Get WTP Predicate
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has reminded institutions not to justify any means to obtain the Unqualified Predicate (WTP) from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).
This warning was given after the KPK named Bogor Regent Ade Yasin as a suspect for giving bribes related to the management of the Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab) financial reports for the 2021 Fiscal Year.
"KPK appeals to every ministry, institution and local government to avoid the practice of bribery in obtaining a fair opinion without exception (WTP) in the process of examining its financial management," said KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri at a press conference at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, April 28.
Firli admitted that she was concerned about what Ade had done. According to him, the Bogor Regent did not uphold the people's mandate in managing the budget.
"Budget management should be utilized and reported in an accountable manner as a form of accountability," he stressed.
Not only urging state institutions, the anti-corruption commission also asks financial inspectors not to abuse their authority. Because, they should do an honest examination.
"KPK also appeals to the financial audit authority not to abuse its authority to gain personal gain through corrupt practices," said Firli.
It was previously reported that Ade was named a suspect after he was caught in a hand arrest operation (OTT) which was held from Tuesday, April 26 to Wednesday, April 27.

While the recipients were four BPK employees representing West Java, Anthon Merdiansyah, Arko Mulawan, Hendra Nur Rahmatullah Karwita, and Gerri Ginanjar Trie Rahmatullah.
Ade gave the bribe because he wanted Bogor Regency to win the WTP title for the 2021 Fiscal Year from the BPK representative for West Java.
As a result of his actions, Ade was detained at the Polda Metro Jaya detention center. Meanwhile, the other suspects are being held in a number of different detention centers, such as the KPK Detention Center in Lot C1, the KPK Detention Center at the KPK Red and White Building, and the KPK Detention Center at the Jaya Guntur Pomdam.
As the provider, Ade is suspected of violating Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or b or Article 13 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code.
Meanwhile, as providers, four West Java BPK employees were suspected of violating Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or b or Article 13 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendment On Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code.
