D-6 Eid 2022, Jasa Marga Records 762 Thousand Vehicles Leaving Jabotabek
JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk recorded that 762,251 vehicles left the Jabotabek area on D-10 to D-6 Eid Al-Fitr 2022. The total volume of traffic (traffic) leaving the Jabotabek area rose 4.2 percent compared to normal traffic. November 2021 period with a total of 731,600 vehicles.
This figure is the cumulative number of traffic (traffic) from the four Barrier/Main Toll Gates (GT), namely GT Cikupa (direction Merak), GT Ciawi (direction Puncak), and GT Cikampek Utama and GT Kalihurip Utama (direction Trans Java and Bandung).
The distribution of traffic is the majority or as many as 365,492 vehicles (47.9 percent) towards the east, namely Trans Java and Bandung. Then, as many as 237,702 vehicles (31.2 percent) headed towards the West (Merak), and 159,057 vehicles (20.9 percent) headed towards the South (Puncak).
Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication and Community Development Group Head Dwimawan Heru explained that a significant increase in traffic occurred on the 6th day of Eid al-Fitr or Tuesday, April 26.
Jasa Marga recorded an increase in traffic volume on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road towards Cikampek by 89.1 percent compared to the normal period of November 2021, which reached 53,570 vehicles.
"The trend of increasing mobility, especially for road users heading east via Trans Java, continues. Today, Wednesday, April 27, Jasa Marga has implemented contraflow from Km 47 (Karawang) to GT Cikampek Utama Km 70 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road direction Cikampek from 07.38 to 11.00 WIB," he said in Jakarta, Wednesday, April 27.
Furthermore, Heru emphasized that this contraflow was carried out situationally and based on the discretion of the Police.
"Jasa Marga appeals to toll road users to anticipate travel before entering the toll road. Make sure the vehicle and driver are in top condition, comply with health protocols when in the rest area, fill up fuel and sufficient electronic money balance, and obey the signs and directions of officers ," he said.
The following is the breakdown of the distribution of traffic leaving Jabotabek:
- East direction (Trans Java and Bandung):
Traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama, the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, was recorded at 213,180 vehicles, an increase of 29.4 percent from normal traffic.
Meanwhile, traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Bandung via GT Kalihurip Utama Cipularang Toll Road, with a total of 152,312 vehicles, decreased by 5.3 percent from normal traffic.
"The total traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Trans Java and Bandung through the two GTs is 365,492 vehicles, an increase of 12.3 percent from normal traffic," he said.
- West direction (Peacock)
Traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Merak via GT Cikupa Tangerang-Merak Toll Road was 237,702 vehicles, an increase of 0.04 percent from normal traffic.
- South Direction (Peak)
Meanwhile, the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek towards Puncak via the Ciawi GT Jagorawi Toll Road was 159,057 vehicles, down by 5.6 percent from normal traffic.
