The National Police Chief Asks All AKAP Drivers To Have Health Checks And Alcohol Tests Before Taking Homecomers
JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo asked bus drivers to undergo medical and alcohol tests before driving. The goal is that travelers who use Inter-City Inter-Provisional Bus (AKAP) services arrive at their destinations safely.
This statement was made by the National Police Chief while reviewing the implementation of the homecoming program at Purabaya Terminal, Surabaya, East Java, Wednesday, April 27.
"For drivers or drivers, a urine problem test is carried out and whether or not they use alcohol. This is done so that when carrying passengers, we are sure the driver is in good health and prime to carry passengers who are quite far between cities and provinces that require prime conditions," Sigit was quoted as saying. from a written statement from the Police Public Relations Division.
Sigit reminded the terminal manager and related parties to provide the best service for people who want to go home. For example, make sure the bus to be used is in decent condition.
During his visit, the National Police Chief said that from the existing data, currently there has been an increase in passengers at the terminal when compared to last week.
"If we look at the data for community development in the data terminal, there is an increase compared to last week and it is likely that it will continue to increase in the last few days," said Sigit.
Not to forget, during his visit the National Police Chief also saw the readiness of the vaccine booth. Sigit hopes that people who have not carried out dose III or booster vaccinations will take advantage of it.
"We hope that the people who go home and meet their families are all in good health, strong immunity, so that after Eid we can keep the pace of COVID-19, especially in Surabaya, can be maintained," said Sigit.
