Preventing Corruption, Boyamin Saiman Suggests Bogor Regency To Do Regional Expansion
JAKARTA - Coordinator of the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) Boyamin Saiman suggested Bogor Regency to expand its territory. The goal is to prevent acts of corruption.
"It must be divided into 3 or at least 2 regencies so that later it will not tempt regional heads to commit corruption again," said Boyamin when contacted by VOI, Wednesday, April 27.
He assessed that Bogor Regency is prone to corruption because the area is quite large.
"So far, the Bogor district has been led by the Ade Yasin dynasty, previously Rahmat Yasin. There are allegations of corruption. There are many temptations. So that the district is not too rich because the large area should be divided into 3 districts," he explained.
As is known, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested Ade Yasin in a red-handed operation from Tuesday, April 26 to Wednesday morning. He was arrested along with several parties from the West Java Representative BPK.
"(The arrested parties) include the Bogor Regency Regent, several parties from the West Java BPK Representative and other related parties," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Affairs Ali Fikri told reporters, Wednesday, April 27.
Previously, Ade Yasin's older brother, Rachmat Yasin, was also arrested in the KPK OTT in connection with a bribery case of Rp. 4.5 billion in exchanging forest areas of PT Bukit Jonggol Asri (BJA).
Rachmat was arrested by the KPK on the evening of May 7, 2014. According to reports, at that time Rachmat was carrying out a bowling or rebo tour in Bojong Gede District, Bogor Regency, West Java.
After the activity, Rachmat returned to his private home at Yasmin Housing, Sector II, Jalan WijayaKusuma Raya No. 103, Curug Mekar, West Bogor, Bogor City.
