Central Java BNN Failed Transaction Of 50 Kg Cannabis At Muntilan Gas Station Controlled By Cilacap Prison Prisoners
SEMARANG - The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Central Java Province has thwarted the shipment of 50 kg of cannabis-type narcotics from North Sumatra.
The head of the Central Java BNN, Brigadier General Purwo Cahyoko, said that his party had arrested four people in the disclosure of tens of kilograms of marijuana.
Brigadier General Purwo Cahyoko explained that the disclosure of the shipment of 50 kg of marijuana stems from information about a shipment from North Sumatra using a truck.
"The arrests were made when the drugs were handed over at a gas station in Muntilan, Magelang Regency", he said in Semarang, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, April 27.
The four suspects who were arrested, respectively RK (37) and LMS (47) residents of Semarang Regency, were the crew of the truck carrying 50 kg of marijuana.
Two other suspects, respectively YS (29) from Magelang Regency and WS (22) from Temanggung Regency, were the recipients of the goods.
It was also revealed that the 55 packages of marijuana were transported in a truck disguised as containing oranges.
From the provisional information obtained from the suspects, he said, the shipment of tens of kilograms of marijuana was allegedly controlled by one of the prison inmates in Cilacap.

The two couriers who were secured admitted that this shipment was the second time.
For the shipment of marijuana, which is planned to be distributed in the Magelang, Boyolali, and Sukoharjo areas, the two truck crews received a salary of IDR 5 million.
"If all of them are sold later, they will get an additional IDR 500 thousand per kg", he said.
For their actions, the perpetrators were further charged with Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
