Real Madrid Coach Carlo Ancelotti Predicts Manchester City Will Stay At The Santiago Bernabeu: This Will Be A Different Match

JAKARTA - Real Madrid will host the 2022/2023 Champions League semifinal second leg. Los Blancos will host Manchester City at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, 4 May.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti says the match will be much different from what happened in the first leg at the Etihad Stadium. The Italian coach believes, Manchester City will appear more defensive.

"I think we will find it difficult to see a similar and equal open game like tonight. It will be a different game," said Ancelotti, as reported by Antara from the club's official website.

"City have an advantage and you have to admit it," he continued.

The Citizens were in control after winning 4-3 in the first leg. However, that capital could not make Pep Guardiola's troops relax in the face of the second leg later.

The reason, they will face Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu. Ancelotti also hopes that Los Blancos supporters can fill the stadium, not only to put pressure on the opposing side, but also to encourage the players.

"I hope our fans demand a better performance from us in order to reach the final," said Ancelotti.

The former Juventus coach then praised his team's performance in the first leg. He said that the mentality of Karim Benzema and his friends was very well tested even though there were things that still needed to be improved.

"I have a very experienced team who stay calm when the going gets tough. They have played many games like this and never give up and always keep their heads up," said the Real Madrid coach.
