Governor Anies Claims Food Stock In Jakarta Is Safe Until Eid

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan reviewed the availability of food stocks at the Kramat Jati Main Market, East Jakarta. Anies ensures that all food stocks are safe.

In the review, Anies said the food stock was in a safe condition until the Eid al-Fitr holiday. The food commodities referred to by Anies include rice, beef/buffalo, chicken meat, chicken eggs, curly chilies, red cayenne pepper, garlic, shallots, granulated sugar and cooking oil.

In fact, Anies claimed that there had been a decline in prices for several commodities.

"The results of this review prove that the condition of the availability of food commodities in Jakarta is sufficient. There was also a decrease in prices for some commodities. So, people don't need to worry, food conditions in Jakarta are safe 5 days before Eid al-Fitr," said Anies at the Kramat Jati Main Market, Wednesday, April 27.

The price decline occurred in curly red chili (12.96 percent), TW red chili (1.03 percent), red chili pepper (27.77 percent) and shallots (0.90 percent).

Anies then explained a number of efforts by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to maintain the stability of food availability and prices in the capital city. One of these efforts is the distribution of subsidized food for certain communities.

The food items distributed are 5 kg of rice, 1 kg of beef, 1 kg of chicken meat, 24 boxes of UHT milk, 1 kg of mackerel, 1 kg of eggs, with a public purchase price of Rp. 126,000.

The beneficiaries are 49,234 workers, 33,659 honorary teachers, 15,215 PKK cadres, 107,573 elderly people, 51,436 PHL/PPSU holders, 816,690 KJP holders, 14,459 disabled people, 31,000 flat occupants, and 10,993 KAJ holders.

Then, cooperate with SOEs, including PT PPI to distribute 192,000 liters of bulk cooking oil at prices according to HET (Rp 14,000 per liter) for traders and small business actors in 12 traditional market locations within the Perumda Pasar Jaya area for the supply of buffalo meat. frozen as an alternative to beef.

Then, ensuring food availability through optimizing BUMD by conducting inter-regional cooperation carried out by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through Food BUMDs (PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya, Perumda Dharma Jaya and Perumda Pasar Jaya).

Then, optimize food distribution points managed by Perumda Pasar Jaya in 5 cities and 1 district. Fifth, carry out food bazaar activities at the village, sub-district and mayoral levels.
