Marko Simic Opens Up About His Fate At Persija Jakarta: Unilaterally Terminated Contract Because He Was Not Paid A Year's Salary
JAKARTA - After a long silence, Marko Simic finally opened his voice regarding his fate at Persija Jakarta. He announced that he had terminated his contract at Macan Kemayoran unilaterally.
Marko Simic's decision cannot be separated from the club which is considered to have violated the work contract. Persija Jakarta is said to have not paid his salary for a year.
"After 4.5 years of service, 98 goals, 4 trophies, unforgettable moments, individual awards and records that I have broken, this is the most difficult decision of my life," wrote Marko Simic which he later uploaded on his Instagram account.
"After months of promises not being kept, and being left on the bench just because I was demanding rights, I think now I need to move on. I need to do what's best for myself and what I deserve," he continued.
The Croatian then said he was in a tough and difficult situation this season. In fact, he said, some people have jeopardized his career.
Marko Simic will never be able to accept this.
"From the bottom of my heart, I love this club, this city, I love all of you. We have made history and celebrated unforgettable moments together," said the 34-year-old.
"Saying goodbye to all of you is really painful, but for sure I will never forget all of you who have always supported me."
"I will always remember the beautiful moments with all of you forever. Sincerely, and will always be your Super Simic," concluded Marko Simic.
