Those Of You Who Can Take Leave Earlier Than Joint Leave Are Urged By The National Police Chief To Go Home Early So As Not To Get Caught In Severe Traffic Jams

KARAWANG - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo hopes that residents who are already off work and school can go home more quickly, to avoid traffic jams that are predicted to occur starting D-4 Eid.

"People who have the opportunity to go home earlier, have holidays (work), their children have been off school, please take advantage of going home faster," said the National Police Chief during a press conference at the rest area of KM 57 of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road, reported by Antara, Tuesday, 26 April.

This was conveyed by the National Police Chief to avoid traffic jams, which are predicted to occur from April 28 to May 1, 2022.

Even so, for people who cannot go home faster, the police, ministries, and other institutions have prepared traffic engineering. This is done to anticipate the possibility of congestion.

He said, based on information from the Korlantas Polri, his party would implement odd-even, contra-flow and one-way implementations on D-4 Eid.

"Traffic engineering on the toll road for the homecoming route will be reviewed on D-4 Eid, starting at 17.00-24.00 WIB, for those that lead to the eastern region," he said.

Meanwhile, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi said that people who go home faster can reduce the burden and density of traffic flows during the peak of Lebaran homecoming.
