Three Acehnese COVID-19 Cases Treated In Hospitals Remaining
BANDA ACEH - The Aceh Health Service stated that the COVID-19 pandemic condition in Aceh Province was getting better, as seen from the number of patients with the virus infection who were still being treated at a referral hospital, which continued to decline, even now there were only three people left.
"Currently, there are only three people who are hospitalized out of 30 active cases of COVID-19," said the Head of Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) of the Aceh Provincial Health Office, Iman Cheapman in Banda Aceh, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, April 26.
The remaining three patients were treated in the isolation room of the hospital, one person each at the Zainoel Abidin General Hospital in Banda Aceh, the Aceh Mental Hospital and the Tgk Chik Ditiro Sigli Hospital, Pidie.
He said the pandemic in the Tanah Rencong area was getting better. Cases have also shown a downward trend since the last few months. In fact, said Iman, as of today there are no additional COVID-19 cases throughout Aceh.
Now, he said, there are only 30 active cases of COVID-19 in Aceh, including seven residents of North Aceh, four residents of South Aceh and Bireuen, two each from East Aceh, Central Aceh, Southwest Aceh and Sabang.
Furthermore, each of the residents of Lhokseumawe, Banda Aceh, Bener Meriah, Nagan Raya, Aceh Jaya, Pidie, and Aceh Barat.
"So there are only 30 active people, generally self-isolation. And today there are no additional cases," said Iman.
However, the government also asks the public to be disciplined in implementing health protocols in an effort to anticipate a spike in COVID-19 cases after Eid 1443 Hijriah.
The government also continues to accelerate the COVID-19 vaccination, especially for booster doses. The government targets more than 4 million Acehnese to get the vaccine. Currently, 99.5 percent have received the first dose and 74 percent of the second dose.
Meanwhile, 13.5% of the population who have received booster vaccinations have received the target of 3.5 million Acehnese. Excluding children and adolescents under the age of 18 who are not targeted for the booster vaccine.
