It's Been 3 Days, AKAP Bus Passengers At Kampung Rambutan Terminal Soared 100 Percent
JAKARTA - Inter-provincial intercity bus (AKAP) passengers at Kampung Rambutan Terminal, East Jakarta jumped by 100 percent. On normal days, there are usually only 500 passengers, now it is 1,000 people per day before Idul Fitri.
"Since April 23, there has been an increase in passengers, from the 23, 24, 25, the increase ranges up to 100 percent," said Head of Kampung Rambutan Terminal, Yulza Ramadhoni in Jakarta, Tuesday, April 26.
Yulza added that the departure of AKAP bus passengers in the morning and afternoon was dominated by Sumatra. Meanwhile, the majority of departures in the afternoon are Central Java and East Java.
"Even if there will be an increase, it will be the peak of the homecoming flow on D-3, D-4 (Idul Fitri)," said Yulza quoted from Antara.
Yulza said the number of passenger departures was still relatively small compared to before the pandemic conditions, which averaged 2,000 passengers per day outside of Ramadan.
Meanwhile, Yulza said that his party had no plans to deploy a spare bus to serve travelers during this year's Lebaran.
"Later, we will see what the field situation is like. Whether (passenger departure) is still being served or whether there is a buildup, we will provide other options," said Yulza.
