After Eid Prayers, 412 Inmates At Curup Bengkulu Class LlA Prison Receive Remissions
BENGKULU - A total of 412 inmates from the Class llA Curup Correctional Institution (Lapas) from three regencies in Bengkulu Province received the 2022 Eid remission.
Head of Curup Class llA Prison Bambang Wijanarko through the Head of Correctional Security (KPLP) Rodi Ernando said, granting remissions to correctional inmates (WBP) who already have legal provisions and have good behavior.
"Special remissions for Eid are given to correctional inmates, ranging from 15 days to 2 months," he said at Rejang Lebong, Antara, Tuesday, April 26.
Recipients of this remission, among others, special remissions (RK) 15 days as many as 74 people, 1 month RK as many as 191 people, then 1.5 months RK as many as 59 people, 2 months RK as many as 14 people for a total of 338 people.
Furthermore, special remissions in accordance with Article 34 of Government Regulation Number 99 of 2012 through the decision of the Menkumham as many as 74 people consisting of RK for 15 days as many as 24 people, RK for 1 month as many as 42 people, and RK for 1.5 months as many as 8 people.
According to him, the granting of remission or reduction of the prison term is for Muslim WBP. This remission will be given after Eid prayers.
He mentioned that the Curup Class llA prison inmates who received this remission came from three regencies, namely Rejang Lebong, Kepahiang, and Lebong Regency.
Referring to the number of residents in the local prison, he mentioned 646 people, consisting of 94 prisoners and 552 inmates.
