Chevrolet Ready To Introduce Corvette Electric Car In 2023

JAKARTA - United States automotive brand, Chevrolet announced on Monday, April 25, that it will soon launch the 'Corvette' electric car in 2023.

The announcement doesn't provide any further details on the build of the car, and even the teaser video released along with the tweet doesn't give any hints about the upcoming EV Corvette.

A Corvette EV is not entirely surprising, given that its parent company, General Motors (GM) plans to sell EVs exclusively by 2035.

Additionally, GM's electrification strategy has so far revolved around higher-priced Halo vehicles such as the Hummer EV. Halo car refers to premium cars, which have high performance and have an edgy design.

Most recently, Honda Motor Co. plans to build millions of electric vehicles (EVs) by 2030. These builds will use three new dedicated platforms, one of which will be co-developed with their US partner, General Motors Co.
