BEKASI - The Bekasi Metropolitan Police has prepared a special rest area for motorbike riders on the Pantura route back and forth, precisely on Jalan Raya Rangas Bandung Kilometer (KM) 60 Kedungwaringin, Bekasi Regency, West Java.
"At this service post, two-wheeled travelers can rest for a while before continuing their journey safely to their hometowns," said Kasatlantas Metro Bekasi Police Commissioner Arga Dija Putra in Bekasi Regency, Antara, Tuesday, April 26.
He said this rest area provides a number of public facilities, including health checks, two public toilets, a prayer room, mini gas stations, workshops and mechanics, vaccination booths, and a rest room for travelers.
The motorbike rest area at the former company Indo Beras Unggul (PT IBU) is said to be able to accommodate as many as 400 motorbikes with 24-hour operation to improve the safety and comfort of travelers, especially users of two-wheeled vehicles.
"Motorcycle travelers should take advantage of this motorbike rest area to rest, don't force yourself to drive when you are tired or sleepy," he said.
His party appealed to travelers who take advantage of this facility not to stay in the rest area for too long to avoid the accumulation of vehicles at a number of points so that it could result in long traffic jams.
"It will be limited, we urge no more than 30 minutes to avoid accumulation in the rest area," he said.
Arga advised people who carry out homecoming to continue to comply with traffic regulations and maintain health protocols in order to create a healthy, safe and smooth homecoming, according to government directives.
Homecoming safely and smoothly is prepared by travelers by participating in maintaining personal safety on the way, ensuring the condition of the vehicle is prime, and obeying traffic rules.
