Gibran Rakabuming Closes Jurug Animal Park For 6 Months For Renovation Process
SOLO - The Solo City Government will close the Taru Jurug Animal Park (TSTJ) for six months for the renovation process. "Yesterday I had a meeting with Taman Safari and investors, the point is that it will start soon. Lebaran is still receiving guests first, after that it will be closed for six months," said Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka while showing the TSTJ design to reporters in Solo, Antara, Monday, April 25. . He said the work would be accelerated so that the target could be reopened in December this year. "But this is gradual, yes, this is only segment one," he said. Some of the work on the renovation includes an open cage for animals and a show room for animals. "What is clear is that animals are not placed in small cages, but there are still fences. Later, an artificial island will be made, separating the water. What is good is that there is a show area on the lake. Interesting animal shows for children," he said. According to Gibran, during the construction some of the animals will be evacuated to the Safari Park, while some will remain in TSTJ. "Those who are evacuated will be the responsibility of Taman Safari. I also ask for additional animals," he said. Meanwhile, considering that during these six months there was no income, the local government would meet the operational needs of TSTJ. "The need for feed and others is Rp. 350 million/month, we will bear it later. We will take it from BTT (unexpected spending). So it will be bailed out for six months first," he said.
