COVID-19 Update As Of April 25: 317 New Cases, 4,664 Recovered

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 119,757 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 317 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,044,467 and active cases have fallen by 4,380 to 13,251 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Monday, April 25.

Today's recovered cases increased by 4,664 people, bringing the total to 5,875,083 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 33 cases and a total of 156,133 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 101 cases and a total of 1,247,015 cases. Followed by West Java which has 54 new cases with a total of 1,105,030 cases. Banten has 33 new cases and a total of 292,165 cases. Central Java has 25 new cases and a total of 626,749 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 3,320 recovered cases. Followed by West Sumatra with an additional 255 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 251 recovered cases, and Gorontalo with an additional 175 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 95,024,563. "Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 1.25 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 2,811 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, currently, 198,946,361 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 164,023,683 vaccinations for the second dose. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 35,165,470. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
