Demonstration Of Job Creation Law In Cirebon Police Disbanded Because They Do Not Have A Permit

JAKARTA - The demonstration against the Job Creation Act in Cirebon, West Java was dissolved. Disbandment was made because the demonstration did not have permission or notification to the authorities.

The Head of the Cirebon Police Ops, Kompol Indarto, met with representatives of the demonstrators to convey about the technicalities of the demonstration in accordance with Law No. 9/1998 on freedom to express opinions.

"Before the action, we should have given a notification within 3x24 hours so we can prepare the handling and security," said Indarto.

In the absence of a permit, the Police dismissed the demonstrators and those who had given notice were allowed to continue.

However, after that the crowd forced their way to continue demonstrating, thus making clashes between the police and the protesters inevitable.

The clash initially took place on Jalan Siliwangi, Cirebon City, at which time the police managed to beat back the protesters up to Jalan Kartini, around the Attorney General's Square and the At Taqwa Grand Mosque in Cirebon City.

Meanwhile, students who are members of the Cipayung Plus alliance have dispersed themselves in action in front of the DPRD building.

Until now, the condition in Cirebon City is still not under control, because protesters are still trying to attack the Police.
