KEDIRI – A boy in Kediri Regency, East Java was forced to undergo treatment at a hospital after being a victim of a firecracker explosion. As a result of the incident, the victim's finger was badly injured.
Ngadiluwih Police Chief AKP Iwan Setyo Budhi said the victim had the initials DA (9). The victim, who lives in Blabak Village, Kandat District, Kediri Regency, suffered injuries to his fingers due to firecracker explosions.
"The victim initially left the house riding a bicycle without saying goodbye to her parents to go for a walk after eating sahur. On Jalan Kromosari entering Banjarejo Village, Ngadiluwih District, the victim was seeing someone setting off firecrackers," explained AKP Iwan, quoting Antara. , Sunday, April 24.
The firecrackers, continued Iwan, after being lit, did not explode. Then by the victim, the firecracker was kicked and then taken with the right hand. However, when the firecrackers were taken, they exploded.
"With this incident the victim suffered injuries to his right hand," he said.
The incident was caught on camera and went viral. In the video, the victim immediately walks with his hands that have been crushed. In fact, he didn't appear to be crying.
Around the location, there were also many residents, but they seemed to be silent and just told the boy to go home. In fact, at first, the boy wanted to ride his bicycle, until later residents helped bring the boy's bicycle.
Currently, the boy has been taken to the hospital for further treatment. The police who received the case report also took immediate action.
The police examined a number of witnesses in the case. They were asked for information related to the possession of the firecrackers.
The police also appealed to residents to be careful not to play with firecrackers, because it is dangerous. Apart from harming yourself, you are also endangering others.
Those involved in the misuse of firecrackers could be threatened with violating Article (1) of the Emergency Law Number 12 of 1951 with a maximum penalty of death, life imprisonment or 20 years in prison.
