Ahead Of The Match Against Liverpool, Everton Coach Frank Lampard Is Ready To Steal Victory

JAKARTA - Everton coach Frank Lampard asked his team to perform desperately when facing their rivals Liverpool in the 34th week of the Premier League at Anfield Stadium, Sunday.

Quoted from the club's official website, Sunday 24 April, Lampard said they must perform with passion and desire, and be ready to fight until the end of the game.

According to Lampard, this is something fundamental in order for them to repeat the success of Everton last season which beat Liverpool at Anfield with a score of 2-0.

"It's a big game and I'm very proud to manage this football club and go into a game of this magnitude," said Lampard.

"I've watched from afar a number of times and was amazed by the atmosphere and history of the game, so I'm really happy to be involved. This game is only one time, it brings a different energy."

Despite his ambition to steal the win, Lampard is aware that this time against Everton, one of the best teams in the world is currently in good form.

The England coach went on to say they will prepare well for the game with an idea of how they want to play against Liverpool.

Lampard again emphasized the desire, fight and passion of his players to be present in this match because their plans could fail if they were not accompanied by this, especially a big game like this.

"The first thing to do is defend well, you are never safe against Liverpool. They can always give you problems, through pressure or counter-attacks," explained Lampard.

"We have to deal with that, first and foremost, then we have to have the ball, give them problems. There is no time on the ball, we have to be brave, accept it and play."

"We wanted to move with the ball and have possession. We couldn't give the ball to Liverpool. It was a constant message (to players) and has been from day one. Players have to be prepared to pick up the ball in tight areas and find passes."
