Ensuring Eid Security, Central Java Police Chief Optimizes The Role Of The Detectives In The Ranks

SEMARANG - Eid security which was held by the Central Java Police together with a number of parties, was not only focused on security activities for the homecoming flow but also to ensure the safety of residents in carrying out their daily activities.

The Head of Central Java Police, Inspector General of Police Ahmad Luthfi, stated that during the Eid celebration, the economic needs of the residents also increased. This has the potential to provoke Kamtibmas vulnerability which invites criminals to carry out their actions.

"For this reason, the Central Java Regional Police conducts preventive operations ahead of Eid which will be held from April 23 to 28. The goal is to map the security and social security vulnerabilities and map activities in markets, gold shops and so on. This is done to provide a sense of security to the community from criminal disturbances," said Inspector General of Police Ahmad Luthfi, Sunday 24 April.

To ensure that Central Java is safe from criminal disturbances, the Kapolda also ordered detective rings throughout Central Java to be activated optimally.

"Heads of Criminal Investigations throughout Central Java are to optimize the detective ring in their respective areas. Do not let criminal incidents such as robbery and looting occur in the Central Java area," he said.

The Kapolda also instructed bhabinkamtibmas to coordinate with Babinsa to monitor the availability of basic commodities in markets and shops.

Together with the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, the Regional Police Chief guarantees the availability of basic commodities, including the smooth distribution.

For this reason, he asked the police to ensure that there is no hoarding or price games at the market level.

"Don't let the residents have trouble getting basic ingredients, including cooking oil. So far, their availability is safe and sufficient to meet the community's needs," said the Kapolda in his instructions.

Regarding the implementation of the ketupat operation, the Regional Police Chief instructed that posts in border areas be immediately established and operational.

This must be done as a measure to anticipate the movement of people and goods as well as the crowds that occur before Idul Fitri.

Meanwhile, on toll road security, the Regional Police Chief emphasized that he had prepared a team to break down the peak flow that occurred on April 28-30 and May 6-8 2022.

"To anticipate the need for vehicle fuel when traffic jams occur, small vehicles or motorbikes have been prepared that are ready to supply fuel to road users who need it. Meanwhile in rest areas that do not have gas station facilities, Pertamina has prepared fuel tanker trucks to meet the needs of travelers," " he said.

He also asked all levels to coordinate with all stakeholders as the backbone of Eid security activities.

"Because this operation is a humanitarian operation, all personnel involved must live up to their respective duties and intend the tasks carried out as worship," said the Kapolda.
