Visitors To Tanah Abang Market Continue To Increase Ahead Of Eid Al-Fitr, Muslim Clothing Is Hunted By Buyers
JAKARTA - Thousands of visitors began to crowd the largest textile shopping center at Tanah Abang Market, Central Jakarta, Sunday 24 April.
The residents, who are dominated by women, came to the largest clothing sales center in Southeast Asia to shop for Muslim clothing ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1443 H.
Manager of UPT Pasar Tanah Abang, Agus Lamun said, after the easing by the government, the number of visitors in Blocks A, F and G began to show activity.
"Actually, the number of visitors has increased since February. However, ahead of this Eid, buyer activity continues to show an increase," Agus told reporters, Sunday, April 24.
Agus said that although there was an easing of the PPKM, residents were asked not to be careless when shopping. Take good care of valuables, and continue to follow health protocols (prokes) because COVID-19 is not over.
"We also have CCTV in every corner and floor. We deploy hundreds of officers to provide a sense of security to residents who shop," he said.
Meanwhile, according to visitor information, Rusmana (39) said that he had deliberately visited the Tanah Abang market to buy Eid clothes. He was willing to come far from the Tangerang area.
"I bought clothes for myself, my nephew and my parents in the village. For two years I couldn't go shopping because the COVID-19 virus was very high," admitted Rusmana.
Syania (34) said the same thing. The white woman was happy with the government's policy of providing relaxation for citizens to shop. With this easing, he and his family immediately went to Tanah Abang Market.
"I'm here to buy robes, mukena and other equipment," he said.
