Democrats Accused Of Supporting Job Creation Law And Behind The Demonstrations, Benny: Accusation Of Ruler Buzzer
JAKARTA - A video containing a narrative of Democratic Party faction member Benny K Harman speaking in support of the Job Creation Bill was spread on social media.
In the almost two-minute video, Benny, who spoke on behalf of the Democrat Party, was said to have given his support during the Work Creation Bill meeting at a hotel in Tangerang on Monday, September 28. At that time, he admitted that he saw the seriousness of the government regarding the draft law which has now been passed into law.
"So we represent the Democratic Party in our full support. We observe that there are many extraordinary things that we consider to be a form of the seriousness of the government," he said in the video that circulated outside.
Responding to the video, Benny emphasized that the video was misled by irresponsible parties by those who work for the cukong.
"Those who work for cukong-cukong are misled," said Benny when contacted by VOI, Thursday, October 8.
Benny emphasized that the video was not in substance. He then sent a video of the same moment when he expressed his opinion, representing the Democratic Party Faction.
In the video taken at the working committee meeting on the inventory of problems (DIM) of the Job Creation Bill, Benny questioned a number of things at that time. Including questioning the fate of workers and evaluating that the Job Creation Bill, which at that time had not yet been passed, could answer a number of his questions and their fractions.
"I think we have to be open, honest and objective in talking about this (Job Creation Bill). There should be no refinement about language but the substance is worse. Same with minimum wages and others. ... But I say this can be done without changing this. That I returned to convey our position last night, because this is sensitive to employment, we ask not to continue the discussion, "said Benny at that time.
"That's the right thing (Democrat's attitude, red)," said Benny after submitting the video.
Benny also answered that there were allegations related to his party moving the demonstrations that were taking place at this time. He said, the accusation made by this buzzer was tantamount to demeaning the aspirations of students and workers who took to the demonstration.
"The accusation really demeanes students and workers. Do not underestimate our people. Who is accusing it? Most of the buzzers or ghost troops who may be moved from the authorities," he said.
However, Benny was reluctant to answer further questions regarding the Democrat Party's future stance regarding the emergence of accusations that are currently being raised by a number of parties on social media. "Isn't that a ghost, can a ghost be brought to court? Can you report it to the police?" he said.
It is known that in a plenary meeting of the ratification of the Job Creation Bill on Monday, October 5, Benny had an argument with the chairman of the trial, Azis Syamsuddin, because he asked his faction to convey his rejection of the controversial bill.
The debate then led to a walkout from the Democratic Party faction because it felt that the leadership of the session could not accommodate it.
