Reducing Traffic Congestion, Rewards Promotes Central Java's Southern Route
JAKARTA - The use of the Southern Line in Central Java as a homecoming route is indeed not a favorite for most travelers. Even though this route can overcome traffic jams in the Pantura.
The Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, is now promoting prospective travelers to anticipate congestion on a number of toll roads during the 2022 Eid homecoming, using the southern route of Central Java.
"We have prepared the southern route, I will participate in promoting the route so that everything does not pile up on this toll road. Tomorrow I will go around to see the southern route so that the public knows that the southern route is also convenient," said Ganjar in Semarang, Saturday, April 23.
The number one person in Central Java has also ordered the regents/mayors in the South Line to carefully prepare a number of travelers' needs such as fuel oil (BBM), culinary places, and rest areas.
"We are also asked to regulate traffic, alternative routes, disaster preparedness and health support and others because people going home are happy and want to be happy, so they must be served well," he said as quoted by Antara.
In addition, the Central Java Provincial Government has also prepared a number of alternative routes that will be used when there is a buildup of vehicles at the Kalikangkung Toll Gate, Semarang City.
"We have prepared several alternative routes, if there is a buildup, the orders are immediately parsed, then plan A, plan B, plan C and plan D from the police have been prepared," said the PDI-P politician.
Ganjar ensured that all his staff were ready to face the 2022 Eid homecoming with various preparations that had been made, starting from booster vaccinations to traffic engineering.
"Hopefully everything will go smoothly, now our job is to prepare from the beginning so that everything goes smoothly," he said.
