Jasa Marga Prepares Anticipation Of Overcrowding Ahead Of The 2022 Homecoming And Return Flows
JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga Tbk through the Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad (JMT) as the manager of the Jagorawi Toll Road is preparing toll road operational services and anticipating congestion in the face of homecoming and return flows for Eid al-Fitr 1443 H.
"On the Jagorawi Toll Road, there will be placement of officers and operational fleets in locations that have the potential for congestion, both during homecoming and return flows," said General Manager Representative Office 1 JMT Tri Wahyu Subekti in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Saturday, April 23.
Location points that have the potential for overcrowding during the homecoming flow (towards Bogor/Ciawi) include KM 7+200, KM 13+000, KM 36+400, after GT Bogor 1 and GT Ciawi 1.
"Meanwhile, the locations for potential density during the return flow (towards Jakarta) include GT Ciawi 2, GT Sentul Selatan 2, Km 15+200 Interchange (SS) Cimanggis towards Jakarta, KM 14+600, KM 8+800 Market Canalization. Rebo," he said.
In addition to the potentially congested JORR E section (out of Jakarta), namely at Ramp 3 KM 45 + 200 Cikunir and Ramp 1 KM 46 + 200, while the return flow (to Jakarta) includes GT Cikunir 4 and GT Cikunir 6.
JMT also coordinates with the Police, the Transportation Service, and PT Jasamarga Tollroad Operator (JMTO) to implement, among other things, the application of contra flow at KM 17+200 to KM 8+800 towards Jakarta and KM 44+600 to KM 46+400 on the Jagorawi Toll Road.
Then on the JORR E section, if there is congestion in the direction of Jakarta - Cikampek, traffic engineering will be carried out by straightening vehicles from the Jati Asih direction out towards Pondok Kelapa.
Furthermore, the vehicle uses the canalization lane that has been prepared to be able to re-enter the main route through a temporary opening that has been prepared before GT Kalimalang 2 and then goes to Cikampek/Bandung via KM 46+200. Road users do not need to re-transaction when making the roundabout.
Maintenance work that has the potential to cause traffic congestion on toll roads will be temporarily suspended from (D-10) to D+10 during the Lebaran holiday. As for the work of patching potholes on toll roads, replacing PJU lights and other SPM fulfillment work, they will continue to be carried out by alerting a standby team, a 24-hour pothole sweeping team and alerting pumps at locations prone to inundation.
Service improvements are also carried out at rest area locations, by ensuring service readiness in rest areas including the COVID-19 Health protocol, top-up locations for electronic money and ensuring its functioning, adding portable toilet facilities, carrying out road infrastructure improvements and large and small vehicle parking areas, monitoring routine cleanliness in rest areas, vehicle parking arrangements, as well as ensuring the availability of fuel and clean water.
Jasa Marga urges the public to prepare before traveling by ensuring the condition of the vehicle is ready to go, the condition of the driver is excellent, paying attention to the adequacy of fuel and electronic money for a comfortable trip.
