Batang Police Destroys Thousands Of Liquor Bottles And Firecrackers
BATANG - The Batang Police, Central Java, destroyed 5,400 bottles of liquor and dozens of firecrackers as a result of routine operations that were increased over the past month.
"Based on the analysis that the circulation of liquor in the area is still there, we will continue to carry out operations to circulate the intoxicating drink," said Batang Police Chief AKBP Mochamad Irwan Susanto, quoted by Antara, Friday, April 22.
The Police will also continue to monitor a number of locations suspected of being the locations for making firecrackers.
"Earlier, we destroyed dozens of firecrackers and explosives in buckets filled with water to prevent them from exploding," he said.
AKBP Irwan Susanto also reminded residents not to build or fly hot air balloons because this would endanger the safety of air traffic lanes and houses that could cause fire.
"Releasing hot air balloons has become the focus of the task of the police and local government. Therefore, we urge residents not to release wild hot air balloons because they endanger the safety of themselves and others," he said.
The Police Chief said that his party would deploy as many as 500 personnel consisting of elements of the Police, TNI, Regional Government, volunteers, and community organizations (Ormas).
"The personnel will be on guard at a number of points ready to serve travelers who need services," he said.
