BOGOR - Bogor Police Chief Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro, explained the issue of public complaints to President Jokowi at Pasar Baru Bogor regarding the rejection of illegal levies that led to the identification of residents as suspects.
"We, the Forkopimda of Bogor City, are following up very seriously regarding the public's report to the President yesterday during a visit to the Bogor Market, so we have two things to convey," said the Police Chief, quoted by Antara, Friday, April 22.
First, said the Head of Police, the complaint from Ujang Bachelor's relatives to Jokowi about refusing extortion but instead being detained was actually a case of beatings involving Ujang against two victims.
This case occurred in the early hours of November 26. At that time there were two victims
named Andriansyah and Agus Santoso who were selling were reprimanded by Unang Sarjana and then beat them together.
Ujang Sarjana then reported the two victims and the case has been processed in court.
Previously, a video circulated on social media showing two traders shouting at Jokowi and the Cabinet Secretary, Pramono Anung, at Bogor Market.
"Sir, help us, there are a lot of extortion here. Our uncle was arrested by the police. We fought against thugs, refused to be caught by the police, we are confused, we have been imprisoned for more than three months," said a woman trader.
Condro assured that the police will investigate according to the applicable and transparent procedures and will publish a list of people who are wanted in connection with the case.
Both parties have also been given the opportunity to bring in witnesses, so that Ujang Sarjana's objections have also been considered through the pretrial hearing.
"This means that the determination of the suspect has been tested, namely March 9, 2022, which rejects all the arguments submitted by the applicant, in this case, is a bachelor and accepts what has been done by the Central Bogor Police," said the Bogor Police Chief.
