Wishnutama Admits Becoming A Minister Is More Complicated When Managing LHKPN
JAKARTA - The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Wishnutama Kusbandio visited the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to submit a State Officials Wealth Report (LHKPN).
In fact, Wishnutama has occupied the ministerial seat since October 2019. It took more than two months for Wishnutama to inventory his wealth and report it to the anti-graft agency.
Wishnu admitted, there were difficulties in the LHKPN reporting process when leading the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. The reason is that this ministry has just carried out an institutional restructuring.
Previously, this ministry was named the Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar). After entering Advanced Indonesia for the 2019-2024 period, President Joko Widodo merged the Ministry of Tourism and the Creative Economy Agency into the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
"There are things that really become our focus. My Ministry of Institution is doing (changes) nomenclature so that restructuring. It is not a simple matter to combine the two institutional ministries," said Wishnu as he left the KPK Red and White House, South Jakarta, Thursday, January 9.
Even though it was more than two months after being inaugurated, Wishnu was still able to submit the LHKPN. Given, the ministers are given no later than January 20.
Not to mention, before that Wishnu had never been a state official. Reporting assets is still awkward for him.
"But, I was greatly assisted by the LHKPN task force. If you don't know about this, all kinds of things, I will ask you how to do it," he said.
For information, after the reporting of LHKPN by Wishnu, there are still five ministers and heads of institutions who have not reported their assets. In fact, Wishnu admitted that Jokowi had often reminded his men.
Those who have not reported are BUMN Minister Erick Thohir, Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian, Minister of Trade (Mendag) Agus Suparmanto, Minister of Villages (Mendes) and Development of Disadvantaged Areas and Transmigration (PDTT) Abdul Halim Iskandar, and Head of the Coordinating Agency and Investment (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia also has not reported his wealth.
Not only ministers, there are also three deputy ministers who have not reported their wealth, namely Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Angela Tanoesodibjo, Deputy Minister of the Environment and Forestry Alue Dohong, and Deputy Minister of Village and PDTT Budi Arie Setiadi.
Therefore, Wishnu reminded his colleagues to immediately report the LHKPN to the KPK. "Yes, you should (quickly report it), because we also have to show goodwill to run the government cleanly and well," he concluded.
