The Prosecutor's Sow Team Arrests Former Raja Ampat Mining Head In Sleman

MANOKWARI - The former head of the Mining and Energy Agency of Raja Ampat Regency with the initials PTT was successfully arrested by the Attorney General's Fugitive Arrest (Tabur) team from a hiding place on Jalan Pondok Pesantren, Kanoman/Banjeng, Sleman, DIY.

Head of the Legal Information Section (Kasipenkum) of the West Papua Prosecutor's Office, Billy Wuisan, confirmed the arrest of PTT in the case of alleged corruption in the low and medium voltage electricity network expansion project at the Mining and Energy Office of Raja Ampat Regency for Fiscal Year 2010 worth Rp6.5 billion.

"There was no resistance when the joint sowing team from the Attorney General's Office, the West Papua High Court, the Yogyakarta High Court and the Sorong District Attorney arrested the PPT suspect in his hiding place," said Billy Wuisan, quoted by Antara, Thursday, April 21.

Billy Wuisan said that PTT was declared a fugitive after three times absent from the summons of the prosecutor's investigators and wandering outside Papua for 3 years, so the joint sow team carried out the coercive effort.

"The investigation process has been carried out since 2017 by the Sorong District Attorney, and found that there was a criminal incident so that this case was upgraded to an investigation status with the determination of a suspect and the detention of PTT since October 10, 2018," said Billy Wuisan.

After being secured, PTT was immediately thrown into custody for further legal proceedings.

"We urge all fugitives from the prosecutor's office to immediately surrender to account for their actions, because there is no safe place for fugitives in this country," said Wuisan.
