Menkumham: Creative Breakthrough Job Creation Act And Openly Discussed

JAKARTA - The Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkum HAM) Yasonna Laoly said there was a confusion of information related to the Omnibus Law on Job Creation, causing polemic in the community. Yasonna said the Job Creation Law was a breakthrough in creative legal products and made it easy to carry out licensing.

This was conveyed by Yasonna in a press conference to explain the Work Creation Law with some of the Ministers of the Forward Indonesian Cabinet such as Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, to Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian.

"This is about the ease of doing business. This is a very good creative breakthrough for ease of doing business or facilitating licensing, which has already been conveyed," said Yasonna in a press conference broadcast on the Youtube account of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, Wednesday, October 7.

He assessed that this creative breakthrough occurred because now anyone can create a limited liability company, including micro entrepreneurs and individuals. So in the future, this is said to make it easier for them to obtain certainty of banking access after all this time of difficulties because they do not have a legal entity.

This law, he continued, would also make it easier for village-owned enterprises (Bumdes) to gain access to banking after they had not previously been accommodated. So it is hoped that in the future this Bumdes will bring benefits to the community in the village.

The Chairperson of the PDI-P DPP also said that because of the Job Creation Law, young people or a workforce of 2.9 million had the option to have their own business. "These young people can choose to do business with ease of business licensing for MSMEs," he said.

"The workforce of 2.9 million can choose whether they want to become entrepreneurs starting from micro or if the investment opportunities that come in can become job opportunities for them, this convenience is given to them to do business," he added.

In addition to questioning the issue of ease of doing business, Yasonna also claims that this law will not eliminate the role of local governments in licensing issues. This was conveyed by him as well as answering questions from a number of parties who felt that the regions were not given authority.

"So regarding the government administration cluster, there are people who think why the regional government is being eliminated? No. Not eliminated, but given time. Permits still exist in the regions that are in accordance with their authority but are given a limit. It needs to be given a time limit," he said.

Licensing in the regions, said Yasonna, will only be withdrawn to the center if it is deadlocked and this is called Yasonna in accordance with the constitution.

"If it doesn't work, it must be pulled to this center which sometimes turns back and forth as if it were centralized. Nothing," he said.

With a number of things that were conveyed, Yasonna then asked that all there be no more confusion regarding the Job Creation Law which was just tapped on Monday, October 5 yesterday. This is because he considered that all this time there had been distortion of information in the community regarding the draft which he said had been discussed openly and in a relatively fast time.

"Please allow confusion, so distortion is not confusion. This distortion is corrected. ... Poor people if this seems to be very exclusive. The discussion is open even though it is relatively fast. Panja discussed online, streaming, good input from all factions discussed, openly. , "he concluded.
