Ridwan Kamil Gives Awards To 27 Women, One Of Them Owns A School For Street Children
BANDUNG - The Governor of West Java (Jabar) Ridwan Kamil wished you a happy Kartini Day today, April 21.
On this occasion, the man who is familiarly called Kang Emil gave awards to 27 female heroes in the fields of education, health, and the environment.
"I wish you a happy commemoration of Kartini Day, where today there are 27 female heroes engaged in education, health, and the environment that we give awards," she said at the award ceremony at the West Hall of Gedung Sate in Bandung City, Thursday, April 21. .
At the award ceremony, Kang Emil spoke with several award-winning women, including Rahmawati, who runs a school for street children.
The women who received the award, whom Kang Emil referred to as "Kartini" from West Java, were considered to have an active role in assisting the government in developing the region.
"On average, their stories are very heroic, have a concern for advancing their respective areas. With or without assistance, they continue to carry out activities to help the community," he said.
Kang Emil hopes that the women who are awarded today can be role models for the people of West Java.
"This example must be followed by all people in West Java, especially women," he said.
The West Java Provincial Government has implemented programs to support women's independence, including the Women's School of Reaching Dreams and Dreams (Sekoper Cinta) Program.
