Bawaslu Surabaya Finds 10,175 Multiple Voters Including Members Of The Police-TNI At DPS
SURABAYA - The Surabaya City Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) found 10,175 double voters, including dead people who had the right to vote in the Surabaya Pilkada. In addition, there are also members of the police and TNI who are included in the provisional voter list (DPS).
"What we have found is DPS, so we will immediately summon the KPU to repair the DPS before entering the final voter list (DPT)," said the Head of Bawaslu for the City of Surabaya, M. Agil Akbar, on Wednesday, October 7.
Of the 10,175 DPS, 7,270 voters were found dead, and 2,731 double voters, 123 voters from the TNI and 51 from the Police. DPS is prone to be exploited by irresponsible parties in the 2020 Surabaya Pilkada.
"DPS is found in all polling stations in 31 sub-districts throughout Surabaya," said Agil.
Interestingly, the thousands of double voters were registered as voters at two polling stations throughout Surabaya. For example, person A has been registered at TPS 1, but is also registered at TPS 2.
"What does it mean, they have two names registered or registered at two different polling stations," said Agil.
From the findings of Bawaslu, Agil confirmed that he would summon the KPU of Surabaya City to improve the data. So that there is no confusion when voting on 9 December.
"So, the KPU must immediately fix this DPS as soon as possible, so that on the day of voting there will be no confusion," said Agil.
