Not Only Pertamax, It Turns Out That Jet Fuel Is Also Getting More Expensive: Garuda Indonesia And Citilink Flight Ticket Prices Will Increase
JAKARTA - Garuda Indonesia Group with Garuda Indonesia and Citilink flight services will make tariff adjustments due to the increase in Jet Fuel prices as aircraft fuel.
The President Director of Garuda responded positively to the policy of the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia through the Decree of the Minister of Transportation Number 68 of 2022 concerning the Additional Fee (fuel surcharge) for Economy Class Passenger Services for Domestic Scheduled Commercial Air Transport which allows airlines to adjust the cost (fuel surcharge) on aircraft transportation within country.
Irfan said that the increase in the price of Jet fuel could not be denied a significant impact on the cost structure of flight tickets.
"The permitting of the application of the fuel surcharge policy to the component price of airline tickets is a constructive step towards the focus on restoring the aviation industry ecosystem, one of which is strongly influenced by macroeconomic conditions such as fluctuations in fuel prices," he said in an official statement, quoted Thursday, April 21.
Irfan explained that the fuel surcharge policy would certainly be handled carefully and thoroughly by taking into account the fluctuations in the price of Jet fuel against the need for adjustment of the cost structure component for fuel surcharge on flight tickets.

According to Irfan, the existence of this fuel surcharge policy will refer to the time period determined by the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation.
"We will continue to periodically evaluate the need for implementing the fuel surcharge," he said.
