Deputy Governor Of DKI Riza Patria Begins "Jakarta Loves Al Quran" With Surah Al Fatihah
JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria on Wednesday officially opened the simultaneous Al Quran reading activity with the theme "Jakarta Loves the Quran" and started by reading Surah Al Fatihah.
The activity was broadcast live virtually using an application from the Jakarta City Hall building.
The activity, which was held with the Jakarta Baznas-Bazis, was solemn. After reading Al Fatihah by the Deputy Governor of DKI, it was continued with the reading of Ar Rahman by Ustadz Baeti Rohman.
The reading of Surat Ar Rahman was attended by Muslim residents from various circles in their respective places, both at home, office, school, bus stop, KRL station, mosque, airport and other public places.
The Central Jakarta City Government assesses that the simultaneous Al Quran reading activity in DKI Jakarta, entitled "Jakarta Loves the Quran" is an opportunity for Muslims to be able to understand and apply it to their daily lives.
Central Jakarta City Secretary (Sekko) Iqbal Akbarudin explained, this activity encourages Muslims to always love the Al-Quran by reading, understanding, contemplating and implementing it.
"We reflect on and understand what we read. After understanding, we will implement it in daily life," said Iqbal after attending "Jakarta Loves the Quran" at the Central Jakarta Mayor's Office, Tanah Abang.
Iqbal added that this program was a material for self-evaluation so that he always read the Koran not only in the month of Ramadan.
The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta together with Baznas (Bazis) of DKI Jakarta held a movement to read the Koran simultaneously at 17 points in the capital city to commemorate Nuzulul Quran 1443 Hijriah.
"Jakarta Loves the Quran" was held simultaneously at the mayor's office, the regent's office in the DKI area and the DKI Baznas Bazis.
In addition to reading the Koran, there was also a declaration of writing a Collaborative Quran Mushaf consisting of 602 pages as a series of activities in the program.
The plan is to write 604 manuscripts by officials and community leaders in Jakarta.
