National Police Chief Wants Private Companies To Allow Employees To Leave H-8
JAKARTA - Private companies are asked to be more flexible in arranging employee leave in Eid 2022. So employees who want to go home will have to leave earlier.
The National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo predicts that the peak of the homecoming flow is expected to occur between April 28, 29 and 30, 2022. It is estimated that there will be 23 million private four-wheeled vehicles and 17 million two-wheeled vehicles traveling home in 2022.
"I appeal to agencies, especially private institutions, to be able to arrange leave times for their employees because the Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker) has issued a regulation to be able to arrange leave flexibly," said Sigit while reviewing the homecoming flow at Senen Station, Central Jakarta, Wednesday 20 April quoted from Antara.
The National Police Chief even hopes that the company can provide leave in advance to its employees. For example, starting from D-8 so that there is no accumulation of homecoming flows on D-3, D-2, and D-1, especially those that lead to the eastern region.
The Police themselves have prepared various strategies to reduce the tens of millions of vehicles that are predicted to return home. Starting from traffic regulation on toll roads, it is necessary to have arterial routes on the southern route that can be used for other types of transportation.
"These arterial routes can be utilized so that the potential for congestion can be avoided by carrying out homecoming activities more quickly," said Sigit.
The former Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police asked his staff to prepare outlets to serve boosters (booster vaccines) on toll roads, rest areas, terminals, both on trains, air terminals and ships.
"This preparation is so that people who have not implemented the booster can be served by the Police," said Sigt.
In carrying out this homecoming, the National Police have prepared traffic engineering and 2,702 posts consisting of security posts, service posts, and integrated posts for security and smooth implementation of the 2022 Eid homecoming.
The National Police held Operation Ketupat 2022 which prioritizes the smooth implementation of the return and return flow of Eid 2022 through traffic engineering, especially on toll roads with a one-way and odd-even system.
Operation Ketupat 2022 involves 144,392 joint TNI-Polri personnel, local governments, and volunteers consisting of 876 Polri Headquarters personnel, 87,004 regional police personnel, and 56,512 personnel from related agencies.
This operational activity lasted for 12 days starting from April 28 to May 9, 2022, which was preceded by a troop title on April 27, 2022l.
The security carried out by the Police includes 101,454 security objects, consisting of 90,796 mosques, 4,324 shopping centers, 4,326 tourist attractions, 833 terminals, 666 ports, 299 train stations, and 210 airports.
