Coppa Italia Semifinal Leg 2: Armed With A Win At Artemio Franchi, Allegri Asks Juventus To Remain Wary Of Fiorentina's Speed

JAKARTA - Juventus will host Fiorentina at the Allianz Stadium on Thursday morning in the 2021/2022 Coppa Italia semifinal second leg. Ahead of the meeting, Massimiliano Allegri asked his team to be aware of the opponent's speed, even though the Bianconeri had the advantage in the first leg.

At the first meeting at the Artemio Fanchi Stadium which was held last March, Juventus won 1-0 through an own goal by Lorenzo Venuti. However, the victory was not enough for Allegri to be the capital to appear in the second leg.

For the coach, the substitution of players will be the decisive thing in the match later. In addition, Allegri asked his team to be aware of the speed of the La Viola players. Moreover, Vincenzo Italiano's team are currently in a positive trend and are performing well.

"It will be a tough game. Fiorentina are having a good run of form and I'm sure their coach will continue to confirm positive things when they win," Allegri said at his press conference quoted by Football Italia, Wednesday.

"Tomorrow's match will be different from the first game, substitutions will be important tomorrow, those who play as starters must be able to keep pace.

"Fiorentina will play at a high pace for the opening 60 to 70 minutes, so we need to be at the same level. They have technical quality and are in good form," said Allegri.

Allegri also feels the advantage from the first leg will not be profitable. The reason is, Juventus will play this match after a bad performance against Bologna.

"The result from the first leg doesn't change much. The Viola created a lot of chances, they beat Napoli and Venezia away and played well against Inter," continued the Bianconeri tactician.

"We can't think about the first leg tomorrow. We didn't perform so badly against Bologna, because we missed chances. This is a decisive part of the season. We've played a lot of games and now we just need something different (a win)," said Allegri.
