Cadre Disagrees With The Job Creation Law And Ready To Move To The Ummat Amien Party, PAN Opens A Discussion Room
JAKARTA - A number of regional National Mandate Party (PAN) cadres are reported to be resigning. This was done because it felt that it was not in line with the party's attitude that supported the Omnibus Law on Job Creation.
Responding to this, Deputy Chairperson of the PAN DPP Viva Yoga Mauladi admitted that his party was ready to discuss with those who would resign to equalize their perceptions.
"If the information resigns because the PAN faction of the DPR RI approved the stipulation of the Job Creation Law, of course the PAN DPP will communicate with those concerned about which points or articles are different from PAN's platform and line of struggle," said Viva in a written statement received by VOI Wednesday, September 7.
"PAN was born from the people and fights for the people's interests. It is impossible to deny the interests of the people," he added.
Even though he will open a room for discussion, Viva assessed that the resignation of a number of cadres in the regions including the Deputy Treasurer of the Pangandaran Regency DPD PAN, Ade Nanang, is a good thing even though no resignation letter has yet been submitted. Because, this actually shows that the PAN management has good political awareness.
"And the DPP PAN would like to thank the response. This is also a sign that democratic life in the internal party is well maintained and secure because PAN was born from the womb of reform," he said.
Previously, Deputy Treasurer of the Pangandaran Regency PAN DPD, Ade Nanang confirmed that he would resign from the party bearing the sun. This resignation was done because he felt disappointed over the decision of the PAN faction in the DPR RI.
"It is true that we plan to resign from PAN," said Ade when contacted.
"We think that the decision (ratification of the Job Creation Law) is very detrimental to the little people. There is no partiality for the little people and tends to side with entrepreneurs," he added.
In addition, Ade also mentioned his resignation because he felt that his party was not in line with reform ideals and supported the decisions of the regime in power.
Although he did not say how many cadres would follow in his footsteps, he believed that the party's militant cadres would follow in his footsteps. Furthermore, he mentioned the possibility of joining the Ummat Party, which was formed by Amien Rais and his loyalists.
"90 percent almost say we are going in that direction. I see what Pak Amien said is indeed the nation's need today. It is true," he said.
It is known that PAN has indeed become one of the seven factions in the Indonesian House of Representatives who have agreed to this controversial law. Even so, there are a number of things that the party has noted regarding these laws, such as regulations that ignore public participation, so that there are no specific explanatory aspects regarding the use of foreign workers and the abolition of Articles 64 and 65 of the Manpower Law which regulate the issue of contract workers without certain limits.
This elimination is considered to have implications for contract workers in all types of work and makes them no longer protected by the existing facilities in the Manpower Act.
