Prepare 40 Thousand Food Packages, Erick Thohir Holds BUMN Cheap Market In Jakarta, Bekasi, Depok, To South Tangerang
JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir held a cheap market at 7 locations in the Greater Jakarta area. There are as many as 40,000 food packages provided in the program.
The location points in question include Central Jakarta, East Jakarta, West Jakarta, Bekasi, Depok, Tangerang and South Tangerang.
Erick Thohir's Special Staff, Arya Sinulingga, said the cheap market was held as a form of Erick Thohir's concern for the community.
"In this month of Ramadan, we want to share especially with the people who have supported us all this time. Hopefully this Cheap Market held can ease the burden on the community," said Arya, in an official statement, Wednesday, April 20.
The BUMN Cheap Market sells cheap basic food packages containing 1 liter of cooking oil, 5 kg of rice, and 1 kg of sugar worth Rp. 65,000. The cheap basic food packages that are sold are expected to be a solution for the community to enter the month of Ramadan in the midst of rising prices for basic necessities.
Arya also admitted that he was happy to see the enthusiasm of the residents who had lined up to buy cheap basic necessities since morning. It was proven that as many as 1,000 cheap basic food packages were sold out in just 3 hours.
This Cheap Market activity is also a synergy of 19 BUMN companies through BUMN package providers, namely ID Food.
The BUMN Cheap Market activity is a series of Clean Movement (Giving and Loving) activities with the SOE Minister, including the Ramadhan Safari with SOE Millennials, mosque assistance, and religious activities within the SOE Ministry.
One of the buyers of low-cost market packages from the Ministry of SOEs, Uje, said that the groceries that were sold helped ease the burden on the community.
"I, the ojol, have been greatly helped by the cheap prices of basic necessities. Hopefully, more people can be helped through this cheap market," said Uje.
