Sindir Baliho Firli Bahuri Appears In South Lampung, Ex-KPK Spokesperson: Good Photos, Sir

JAKARTA - A billboard with the face of the head of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri re-emerged. This time the location is in South Lampung, precisely on Jalan Natar.

The appearance of Firli Bahuri's billboard was later highlighted by former KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah. Through his Twitter account, @febridiansyah, he questioned whether the installation of billboards was related to the anti-corruption commission socialization program.

"Dear Mr. @firlibahuri. Is there a photo of you on a big billboard in South Lampung. Did you know yet, sir? Or does @KPK_RI have a socialization program for me with billboards?" he wrote quoted on Wednesday, April 20.

This anti-corruption activist said he got the photo of the billboard from a friend who was on duty in South Lampung. At the end of his tweet, Febri quipped a photo of a billboard with Firli's picture which he also uploaded.

There are two photos of billboards uploaded by Febri. First, a red billboard with a picture of Firli shaking hands with President Jokowi complete with the words, 'We serve the country to free the Republic of Indonesia from corruption'.

While on the second billboard, there is only a photo of Firli Bahuri alone with a blue background. On the billboard was written, 'The state has given me everything. Now is the time for me to pay back to the nation and state'.

The two photos are accompanied by the KPK slogan, 'Dare to be honest, great!'.

"Btw the photo is good, sir," said Febri, equipped with a smiling emoticon.

This billboard with Firli Bahuri's picture is not the first time it has appeared. Previously, the installation of similar billboards had also occurred on a toll road and was finally removed after being in the spotlight.

Regarding the installation of the billboards, Firli at that time admitted that he did not know anything. This was conveyed through his Twitter account, @firlibahuri.

"Frankly, I don't know who and where it was all installed," he wrote on Saturday, February 19.

Meanwhile, Acting Spokesperson for the KPK for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, said that the KPK had never issued a budget for the billboard installation. Moreover, so far no procurement has been carried out.

"KPK has ensured that it has never carried out procurement or financing in the state budget for the billboard installation," said Ali in a written statement, Saturday, February 19.

Ali even said that after there were lots of photos of the billboards on social media, the KPK Inspectorate team immediately checked. As a result, the billboard with Firli's face was no longer found.

"The KPK Inspectorate Team has also checked at the location and the billboard in question has not been found," he said.
