JAKARTA - The sale of the DPR RI Building on the e-commerce platform after the passage of the Work Creation Omnibus Law was responded to by the Secretary General of the Indonesian Parliament Indra Iskandar. According to him, these insinuative jokes are mature jokes but they are out of place. He even asked the Ministry of Finance and the police to take firm action.

"This is BMN (state property). So if there are jokes like that, it is actually very insinuative. That is a matter for the Ministry of Finance and the police and I think the police must take firm action. This is BMN, so such jokes are not appropriate. , "said Indra to reporters at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, October 7.

As for what is meant by BMN by Indra is State Property. Based on Government Regulation Number 27 of 2014, this item is purchased or obtained based on the burden of the State Budget or other legal acquisition.

Returning to Indra, despite asking the police to take firm action, his party will not report it to law enforcement officials. This is because it is the Ministry of Finance that has the right to follow up on this information.

Responding to this, the Executive Director of the Indonesian Political Opinion, Dedi Kurnia Syah, considered that the DPR RI should understand that this was a form of harsh insinuation against them. In addition, selling the DPR Building on e-commerce is a form of public cynicism against those who passed a law that was full of controversy and rejection some time ago.

"This is more of a symbol of public cynicism in the DPR RI. There is a kind of distrust that is beyond borders as well as annoyance and this should be quite offensive and the DPR should feel that their performance is disappointing," said Dedi when contacted by VOI, Wednesday, October 7.
