Polri Prepares 2,702 Command Posts To Secure Eid Homecoming 2022
JAKARTA - The National Police has prepared 2,702 posko consisting of security posts, service posts and integrated posts for security and smooth implementation of the 2022 Eid Mudik.
"The National Police have prepared 2,702 posts consisting of 1,710 security posts, 730 service posts, and 258 integrated posts," said Karo Penmas of the Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, April 19.
He explained that these posts were used as information and security centers, temporary rest areas for tired drivers, traffic flow engineering (one way, odd-even and contra flow), as well as an integrated command and control center for field operations.
"The integrated post is also used as a vaccine booth for travelers who have not been vaccinated with primary or booster doses," said Ramadhan.
Ramadhan said that the National Police held Operation Ketupat 2022, which prioritized the smooth implementation of the return and forth flow for Eid 2022 through traffic engineering, especially on toll roads with one-way and odd-even systems.
The National Police has published a schedule for the implementation of the one-way and odd-even system on toll roads at the peak of the homecoming flow from May 28 to 1, and the peak of the return flow from May 6 to 9 2022. The one-way and odd-even system is implemented starting from KM 47 Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road to KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll Gate.
Operation Ketupat 2022 involves 144,392 joint TNI-Polri personnel, local governments, and volunteers, consisting of 876 Polri Headquarters personnel, 87,004 Regional Police personnel, and 56,512 personnel from related agencies.
This operational activity lasted for 12 days starting from April 28 to May 9, 2022, which was preceded by a troop title on April 27.
The security carried out by the Police includes 101,454 security objects, consisting of 90,796 mosques, 4,324 shopping centers, 4,326 tourist attractions, 833 terminals, 666 ports, 299 train stations and 210 airports.
"It is hoped that the community in carrying out homecoming in 2022 will continue to comply with health protocols, implement booster vaccines and comply with traffic regulations," said Ramadhan.
