PUPR Service Deploys Expert Team To Investigate Cause Of Alfamart Collapse In Banjar, South Kalimantan
KALSEL - The collapse of the Alfamart building on Jalan Ahmad Yani KM 14, Gambut District, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan (Kalsel), has received the attention of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Service (PUPR).
The head of the Banjar Regency PUPR Service, Muhammad Riza Dauly, said that the Banjar Regency PUPR Service would deploy a team of experts to investigate the cause of the mini market collapse.
"Later, experts will assess and conclude what factors caused this shophouse building to collapse," he said in Gambut District, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, April 19.
According to him, a team of experts will examine the contours of the ground and examine samples of the debris of the three-story building.
"The results of the research from the expert team will be submitted to the leadership for further steps to be taken for policy making so that similar incidents are not expected to be repeated," he said.
At the location of the collapsed Alfamart minimarket building, a team of experts from the Faculty of Engineering, Lambung Mangkurat University, has started to collect data and take samples. The team of experts also examined the quality of concrete in building debris.
The Alfamart building in Gambut District on Monday, April 18th, collapsed. After struggling to evacuate for two days, the joint SAR team managed to evacuate 9 survivors and 4 people died.
