Bareskrim Confiscates 10 Luxury Watches Owned By Vanessa Khong's Father, Starting From Richard Mille To Rolex
JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Police confiscated 10 luxury watches from Vanessa Khong's father, Rudiyanto Pei. The watch was allegedly the result of disguising the flow of funds from Indra Kenz.
"Today, 10 luxury watches were confiscated from the brother of RP (Rudiyanto Pei," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan to reporters, Tuesday, April 19.
Meanwhile, Head of Sub-Directorate I of the Directorate of Special Economic Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Kombes Chandra Sukma Kumara, said the confiscated ten hours were under different brands. The total price reaches IDR 8 billion
"There are Richard Mille, Audemars Piguet and Rolex brands," Chandra said.
Rudiyanto Pei and Vanessa Khong have been named as suspects. In fact, they have been detained for the next 20 days.
Specifically for Rudiyanto Pei, his role was to receive a flow of funds of IDR 1.583 billion. In addition, disguise the proceeds of crime by purchasing 10 luxury watches whose value reaches Rp. 8 billion.
"Disguising the proceeds of the crime in the form of buying 10 hours of suspect Indra Kenz at a price of Rp. 8 billion in cash, whereas previously suspect Indra Kenz bought a number of luxury watches for Rp. 24 billion," said Director of Special Economic Crimes at the National Police, Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan.
In this case, Rudiyanto Pei and Vanessa Khong are suspected of Article 5 and or Article 10 of Law Number 8 of 2010 concerning the Prevention and Eradication of the Crime of Money Laundering Juncto Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 5 years in prison and a maximum fine of Rp. 1 billion.
