Central Jakarta District Court Closed Due To COVID-19, Pinangki Session Postponed 2 Weeks
JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta District Court has postponed the continued trial of the case of alleged gratification of the Supreme Court (MA) fatwa arrangement and money laundering crime (TPPU) with the defendant prosecutor Pinangki Sirna Malasari. The trial was originally scheduled for the prosecutor's response to the Pinangki exception to be held on Wednesday, October 7.
Public Relations of the Central Jakarta District Court Bambang Nurcahyono said the postponement of the Pinangki prosecutor's trial was because the Central Jakarta District Court was temporarily closed due to the spread of COVID-19.
"Yes, for all the agenda of the trial including the trial of the Pinangki prosecutor, it was postponed," Bambang said to VOI, Wednesday, October 7.
That way, the Pinangki prosecutor's trial is scheduled to be held again on Wednesday, October 21. This is because all activities at the Central Jakarta District Court have been temporarily suspended for 2 weeks.
"The Central Jakarta District Court has written to close it from October 7 to 16. It will be active again Monday, October 19," said Bambang.
Meanwhile, regarding the spread of COVID-19 in the Central Jakarta District Court, Bambang continued, based on data from the results of rapid tests on all employees, 61 people were found to be reactive. Later they will undergo a swab test to make sure it is infected or not.
"So far, there are 61 people who are reactive from around 200 employees," he said.
