PPKM Extended, MSME Operational Hours To Supermarkets At Level 2 Relaxed Until 22.00
JAKARTA - The government has extended the implementation of community activity restrictions (PPKM) for the Java and Bali regions for the next two weeks until May 9, 2022.
This is stated in the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs No. 22 of 2022. The Director General of Regional Advice at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Safrizal stated that the regulation of activity restrictions in the extension of the Java Bali PPKM this time has not changed much.
"The extension of the Java Bali PPKM this time only experienced changes in the number of regions at each PPKM Level, and the operational time of shopping centers and MSME activities. However, we should be grateful that this change indicates a good thing in the process of dealing with Covid-19 in Indonesia.” Safrizal said in his statement, Tuesday, April 19. In the Ministry of Home Affairs, the government has extended the operating hours for MSME activities, people's markets, traditional markets, supermarkets, hypermarkets, grocery stores, street vendors, and shopping centers in the PPKM Level 2 area until 10 pm. local.
"As for the regulation of operating hours in areas with PPKM Level 1 and Level 3 status, there is no change," he said.
Furthermore, in the implementation of PPKM for the next two weeks, no regions are set to be at Level 4. The number of regions at Level 1 has increased from the previous 20 regions to 29 regions.
The increase in the number of regions at Level 1, said Safrizal, coincided with a decrease in the number of regions at Level 2 from 99 regions to 97 regions, and the number of regions at Level 3 from 9 regions to only 2 regions.
Safrizal also reminded the public to continue to implement health protocols and improve vaccination achievements, especially during the Eid homecoming period.
