Teenagers In Bali Steal IDR 3 Million In Charity Box At Pura Bukit Indra Kila
BANGLI - A teenager with the initials GA (17) was arrested by the Bangli Police, Bali, for stealing charity money or sesari money in the area of Pura Bukit Indra Kila, Bangli, Bali.
"The perpetrator and the evidence have been secured to the Bangli Police for further legal proceedings," Head of Public Relations of Bangli Police Iptu Wayan Sarta, Monday, April 18.
The theft was revealed when the owner of Pura Indra Kila I Putu Suraputra found the charity money at the temple had been missing since October 2021. The perpetrator took Rp 3 million in cash.
"Charity money stored in a charity box amounts to approximately Rp. 3 million," he added.
According to the police report, the perpetrator was arrested. He admitted to stealing and using the stolen money to fulfill his daily needs.
The perpetrator when carrying out his action entered the temple area by jumping over the temple wall. The perpetrator broke the lock handle of the charity box and stole the money.
"Currently, the handling of the case is being handled at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bangli Police and is carried out specifically considering that the person concerned is still a minor," he said.
