Beware Of New Mode Of Indecent Action In The Bathroom

JAKARTA - Immoral acts go viral on social media. The immoral act spreads from a video depicting a hidden cellphone camera recording in the bathroom.

The video in circulation is given a narrative about the modus operandi of this action, by placing the cellphone behind a modified floor cleaner bottle. The video is said to have taken place in the Pandai Indah Kapuk area, North Jakarta.

Furthermore, in another video, an individual employee is shown taking the action. Although he had dodged it, the man admitted his actions after a relative of the victim asked him to open his cellphone gallery. In the gallery, video recordings are stored showing the activities of a number of women in the bathroom.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Penjaringan Metro Police, Kompol Mustaqim, who was asked by VOI about this incident, confirmed it. But he said, this case is not in the realm of law. This is because the victim decided not to report to the police and chose to solve it personally.

"It was resolved by the victim, (Victim) did not make a police report (LP)," he told VOI when contacted, Thursday, January 9.

However, when asked further about whether the police would investigate the case, Mustaqim was reluctant to answer. He only repeated his statement, this case was not legally processed because there was no police report.

"The recording incident also occurred on December 31, 2018," said Mustaqim.
